Life under control

So, it's been a while since I've written a blog - I took a month off to ensure that my best friend (since 4th grade, might I add) had the best Bachelorette party and then Wedding possible...you see, I was the Maid of Honor, and I wasn't about to take that honor for granted! Then I took another month trying to catch up with myself! Sorry if you missed me... here's what I've been thinking about lately:

There are just some days where I feel like my life could use so much improvement. Today is one of those days.

Over the weekend I read a magazine article about a lady who tried to make her life better by changing 6 of her "major issues" - she reported on how she changed her ways and how successful she thought it would continue to be in the future. She made some really great improvements with some minor changes in her daily routine and made it all seem so simple.  Fast Forward to yesterday, and someone I follow on Facebook posted this blog - This woman took 3 months to try and change her life and it really seems like she did. These are things that I think about constantly, improving my life that is. I think about how I shouldn't be watching 3-4 hours of TV a day, how I shouldn't get caught up at staring at my computer screen when I'm not doing things for my photography business, how I could take that time and do a little bit of exercise or read all the books that I have piling up. I THINK about this stuff ALL. THE. TIME. But I'm not very good at making changes, I have a routine and I like it.

But what good does my routine do me? It doesn't improve my health and things around me that need to get done, don't get done...my quality of live is not improved at all by the way I am currently living.  So I think it's time for some changes...I'll start small and work my way up to the drastic ones, maybe I'll cut out an hour of TV a night, make sure I exercise at least 3 times a week, and try my darndest to only cook healthy meals.

This will not only help my personal life, but it will help my photography life too - this will leave me more time to shoot what I love and to challenge myself to do what I am not comfortable photographing! I think this could be a whole new me!

Here is a picture that I took that reminds me of renewal!
